News from the Kansas Board of Regents

The state applications are currently being printed. They should be available no later than the first week of November. They will be pink this year to match the FAFSA color scheme. Students will continue to be able to access all of the applications on our website and printout a form that they can complete and submit to our office. We are keeping our fingers crossed that for 2005-06 we will have the electronic application available.

We have emailed the fall reports. These are forms that the public and private four-year schools complete and the information from these reports is considered in the Comprehensive Grant allocations. The deadline for submission of these reports is December 1.

The tracking information for those schools that award Comprehensive Grant and State Scholarship should be submitted by November 1.

We have changed the password on our website for access to the tracking and state scholarship information. The password was changed on Monday, October 27th. Letters with the new password were sent to schools that award Comprehensive Grant and State Scholarship during the week of October 27th. If you are a school that awards funding from these programs and have not received your new password, please contact our office. We will be changing this password on an annual basis.

It was wonderful to see so many of you last week in Hutchinson. It is always fun to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. The Board staff wants to wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.
