RMASFAA DISTINGUISHSED SERVICE AWARD:

The President of RMASFAA selects this award.
Robb Cummings: The Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators is proud to bestow this Distinguished Service Award upon Robb Cummings for outstanding achievements and personal contribution to the financial aid profession and the association. Your accomplishments, joined with your consistent and genuine representation of our association as a dignified professional, have produced lasting benefits to the Rocky Mountain Association, for which the memberships is very grateful.

RON SMOUT AWARD FOR TEACHING & MENTORING: (new award)

This award is selected from nominations from the general membership.
Larry Viterna: The Rocky Mountain Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators presents the Ron Smout Award for Teaching and Mentoring to Larry Viterna in grateful recognition of your personal commitment to the encouragement and development of leaders for the association, October 2002.

OSCAR R. "JACK" HENDRICK formerly "ROOKIE of the YEAR" AWARD:

This award is selected by the President Elect and the new board.
Brent Carpenter: This award is presented to an individual who is a RMASFAA member who, within the last year, made a significant "first contribution" to the Association. This award recognition can be for either an important single contribution or significant multiple contributions. The purpose of this award is to encourage members to become involved in carrying out the mission of the Association and to encourage continued individual support to the financial aid profession. This award is affectionately known as "RMASFAA's Oscar" after Dr. Hendrix.

RMASFAA 25 year pins were given to Dick Koontz from Education First and to Glenna Alexander from Kansas Wesleyan.

The RMASFAA Committee of the Year for 2002 was the Summer Institute Committee.
